The alliance has members based in Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and USA.
This gives excellent global coverage with the only weak spots being South America, the Middle East and a lack of internal flights in Australia.

Asiana Airlines (OZ) based in Seoul, South Korea is currently a member of Star Alliance but is being merged into Korean Airlines (KE) which is a member of SkyTeam. Whilst Asiana Airlines can currently be booked as part of Star Alliance Round The World tickets. However as their systems are being migrated away from Star Alliance we would not recommend it.
